For those of you who haven’t been here before, I wanted to introduce MediaBreakers and myself. We’re a Digital Production company, specialising in video for the Web. For those of you that have been here before, we’ve had a bit of a lull in blogging of late, but that is all about to change

My name is Rob Cumiskey and I am Director of Business Development here at MediaBreakers. I also blog here and here about Pop Culture related stuff. I’ll be blogging here about digital media and production and also the odd post about random stuff that I come across and want to share.

Academy Award winning trailer

Ever watched a movie trailer and think that you’ve seen this film before?

Maybe it’s something to do with the fact that most movies since the 1970s all deal with the same basic themes at their core. Typically the plot involves the main protagonists going on a journey that ends with them being in a better situation (emotionally, financially or physically) than they were in when the film started.

Here is an absolutely class trailer put together by the guys at Britanick.com that deals with just that.

It makes me MAD!

This is a nice piece of animation by Aaron Leming which I think captures the sentiment of our nation at present especially after hearing that the board of NAMA are to receive a 70% payrise after only 3 months in the job. (thanks for the link dermo)
